Program Structure

- Semester III: 03 May – 01 October 2027 at IIM Calcutta.
- Semester IV: Industry Internship from October 2027 – April 2028.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the PGDBA program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A graduate or postgraduate degree with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the qualifying degree (B.Tech/B.E./M.Sc./M.Com. or equivalent).
- Alternative qualifications include:
- 10 + 3 (Engineering diploma) + 3 (lateral entry into B.E./B.Tech.) with at least 60% marks.
- 10 + 2 + 4 (B.Sc.) with at least 60% marks.
- Qualified CA/CS/ICWA/CMA with at least 60% marks in both Intermediate and Final examinations.
- For SC/ST and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), the qualifying marks are 55% or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale.
- Final year students are eligible to apply, provided they complete their academic requirements by 30th June 2026. Admission will be provisional until submission of the final mark sheet by 30th November 2026.
- Foreign degrees must be certified for equivalence by the Association of Indian Universities.
Selection Process
The selection process for the PGDBA program consists of several stages:
- PGDBA Admission Test 2026: A 3-hour test scheduled for 29 March 2026, comprising 50 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) covering:
- Verbal Ability (15 questions)
- Logical Reasoning (5 questions)
- Data Interpretation and Data Visualization (5 questions)
- Quantitative Aptitude (25 questions)
- Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI) based on the test score. An additional 2 marks will be awarded to women and transgender candidates for gender diversity, not included in final selection.
- Final Selection Criteria: Based on the following components:
- PGDBA Admission Test Score: 45 points
- Personal Interview: 40 points
- Class XII Marks: 8 points
- Work Experience: 7 points
- Total: 100 points
