IIT-BHU Job Fair Begins with ₹1.6 Crore Package

Varanasi: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has kicked off its Phase-I placement drive for the 2025-26 academic session, running from December 1 to December 10. The event commenced with an impressive job offer of ₹1.67 crore, marking a significant milestone for the institute and its students.

Overview of the Placement Drive

The placement season at IIT-BHU has shown exceptional momentum, with a total of 1,701 students participating, including:

  • 1,100 BTech students
  • 550 MTech and Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) students
  • 40 PhD candidates

During the first day of the placement drive, 55 companies made a total of 209 job offers. The minimum package offered was ₹47.19 lakh, showcasing the high demand for IIT-BHU graduates in the job market.

Pre-Placement Offers and Internships

Prior to the formal commencement of the placement interviews, the institute had already secured 280 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) from 70 different companies. This early interest from employers is a strong indicator of the trust and confidence that the industry has in the skills and capabilities of IIT-BHU students.

In addition to job offers, 443 paid internships were also made available to pre-final year students, provided by 98 companies. This presents an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical experience and enhance their employability.
