Admiral Tripathi toured the SIIC, where he was joined by Anurag Singh, Chief Investment Officer, and Piyush Mishra, Chief Operating Officer and CFO of SIIC. The leadership team provided a comprehensive overview of IIT-K’s framework for incubation, innovation, and startup acceleration.

The SIIC showcased a selection of 15 high-impact deep-tech startups that operate in defense and related sectors. These startups focus on areas such as:

  • Autonomous systems
  • Cybersecurity
  • Materials engineering
  • Drones
  • Advanced manufacturing

Engagement with Startups

During his visit, Admiral Tripathi engaged with the participating startups, expressing appreciation for the quality and depth of their technological developments. He encouraged the innovators, stating, “Technologies born in institutions like IIT-K are vital for shaping a secure and self-reliant future for our nation.”

Visit to the C3i Hub

Admiral Tripathi also visited the C3i Hub, IIT-K’s specialized cybersecurity research center. Here, he reviewed ongoing initiatives focused on critical infrastructure and cyber defense. The C3i Hub plays a crucial role in developing strategies and technologies to protect national assets from cyber threats.

Technopark@IITK

In addition to the SIIC and C3i Hub, Admiral Tripathi toured the Technopark@IITK, which serves as a platform for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students and researchers.
