IIT Bombay All Set To Host ATMAN 3.0 For Powering Early-Stage HealthTech Startups

The Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) at IIT Bombay is gearing up to host ATMAN 3.0, an innovative accelerator program aimed at transforming early-stage HealthTech startups into investment-ready ventures. This initiative is designed to support entrepreneurs addressing critical healthcare challenges with innovative solutions. Each winning startup will receive seed funding of INR 1 crore or more, contingent upon a thorough evaluation of their business model and potential impact.

Overview of ATMAN 3.0

ATMAN 3.0 is an eight-week accelerator program that will culminate in a Demo Day on January 9, 2026, at Novotel, Mumbai International Airport. During this event, participating startups will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of investors, industry leaders, and members of the investment committee. This year’s cohort comprises 13 startups that were selected from a competitive pool of 173 applicants who presented their ideas to TIH IIT Bombay.

What Is TIH?

The Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) at IIT Bombay was established as a Section 8 not-for-profit company, backed by the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST). The primary goal of TIH is to advance translational research and foster technology-driven entrepreneurship across various sectors, including healthcare, banking, agriculture, Industry 5.0, smart infrastructure, and education. By facilitating innovation, TIH aims to translate research into practical solutions that benefit both industry and society.

Current Cohort of Startups

The current cohort of ATMAN 3.0 includes 13 ventures that are tackling significant challenges in the healthcare sector. Below is a brief overview of each startup:

  • Prezitec Health Private Limited: Developed Precigo, a snap-on needle tracking system that enhances precision during ultrasound-guided interventions.
  • Shitashii Innovations: Created Emokeigo, a flexible, non-invasive device designed for speech-impaired patients.
  • ATTOX Research Laboratories: Introduced AMRIT, a rapid antimicrobial resistance testing solution addressing infections that claim millions of lives annually.
  • Queliz Lifetech: Advanced UltraHand, a robotic rehabilitation device aiding recovery for stroke and paralysis patients.
  • Brela Innovations: Developed Naibra, smart breast health monitoring pads that promote early detection of breast cancer.
  • Intecog Logistech: Introduced Thermadog, a temperature and theft monitoring solution for pharmaceutical logistics.
  • Raycura Medical Technologies: Offers BETTER, a rehabilitation platform designed for post-stroke therapy.
  • Saintiant Technologies: Developed Vitus, a portable vital health monitoring system for checking cardiac and metabolic health.
  • DeepFacts Private Limited: Presents proRITHM, an AI-powered wearable platform for real-time patient monitoring.
  • MicroHeal: Focuses on managing chronic gut disorders through a digital therapeutic approach.
  • Miraii.ai: Designed a voice-enabled smart ring for seniors to detect falls and trigger immediate alerts.
  • Mythri MedTech Solutions: Developed Vitals Care Pro, which addresses cardio-metabolic diseases through continuous vitals tracking.
  • Kode Blue Technologies: Introduced BLU+, an emergency care solution enhancing response systems in smaller cities.

Program Structure and Support

According to Kiran Shesh, CEO of TIH at IIT Bombay, “ATMAN 3.0 is designed to accelerate India’s HealthTech innovators from research to real-world impact. These entrepreneurs are addressing critical challenges that affect millions, ranging from access to diagnostics and rehabilitation to emergency response and chronic care. Our role is to provide structured mentorship, regulatory guidance, and investor access, enabling their technologies to scale responsibly.”

Hardik Joshi, COO of TIH, emphasized, “ATMAN 3.0 is not just an accelerator, but a launchpad empowering HealthTech founders to innovate responsibly and scale with purpose. The ATMAN 3.0 program consists of eight modules covering essential aspects of startup development, including:

Startups will receive continuous mentorship from domain experts, clinicians, and business professionals, ensuring a balanced approach to innovation that considers both clinical and commercial viability.

The culmination of the program will be the Demo Day on January 9, 2026, where startups will pitch their solutions. This event will also feature discussions on investment trends, regulatory frameworks, and emerging technology models in healthcare, providing a comprehensive platform for startups to showcase their innovations and gain insights into the industry landscape.
