Vaibhav Jain, a representative from Drishti CPS, explained the hub’s mission to provide technology development programs for faculty and students, as well as startup support. This platform aims to create digital twins of human systems to facilitate preventive diagnosis of diseases. Jain elaborated on the functionality of the digital twin model, stating, “Whatever preventive measures that have to be taken, we used to take it on a digital twin model of this human patient (replica). This patient (replica) looks like a real human which can breathe and blink eyes like a human.” This capability allows for various medical experiments, including administering medications and treatment activities, to provide preventive diagnoses.

AI Model and Disease Detection

The AI model integrated into the digital twin is trained on a variety of human parameters that are known to contribute to disease development. By monitoring these parameters, the AI can identify when they reach certain thresholds, prompting a diagnosis based on the data collected. Currently, the focus is on creating a digital twin model specifically for the lungs, with plans to expand to the cardiovascular system and other organ systems in the future.

To ensure the clinical validity of their technology, IIT Indore has partnered with three prestigious All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS): AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Delhi, and AIIMS Raipur.
