Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Junior Research Fellow position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
1. Educational Qualification
- M.Tech in VLSI/Embedded System/Microelectronics/Electronics/Communication/Computer Science with a valid GATE score (within the last 5 years) and a minimum of 60% or 6.5 CPI.
- OR B.Tech/M.Sc in Electrical Engineering/Electronics/Computer Science/Information Technology with a minimum of 70% or 7.5 CPI and a valid GATE score (within the last 5 years).
- GATE exemption for B.Tech graduates from IITs/CFTIs with a CPI of 7.5 or above.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in VLSI, Embedded Systems, Computer Architecture, Machine Learning, and EDA tools.
2. Age Limit
- Maximum age for M.Tech candidates: 32 years
- Maximum age for B.Tech/M.Sc candidates: 28 years
- Age relaxation as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PwD candidates.
Selection Process
The selection process for the Junior Research Fellow position will consist of the following stages:
- Shortlisting based on application and GATE score.
- A written test and personal interview scheduled for 22nd December 2025 at 10:00 AM.
- Venue: Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Patna, Bihta.
