Eligibility Criteria
The SARIP program has specific eligibility criteria for both non-IIT Kanpur students and IIT Kanpur students.
Category 1: SARIP for Non-IIT Kanpur Students
Eligibility Criteria
- Students in the 4th year of a 5-year Dual Degree program
- Students pursuing M.Sc, M.Tech, or any postgraduate degree program
- Minimum CPI of 6.0 (or 60%) required

- Recent passport-size photograph (.jpg)
- Single PDF file containing all required documents
- Transcript(s) / Marksheet(s) supporting the cumulative CPI obtained
- Research proposal (not more than 500 words)
- Degree Marksheet and Degree Certificate
- For Dual Degree students, upload Transcript(s) / Marksheet(s) up to the 7th semester
- Submission of one Letter of Recommendation (LOR) is mandatory
Category 2: SARIP for IIT Kanpur Students

- Students pursuing M.Sc, M.Tech, or any postgraduate degree program
- Minimum CPI of 5.5 required

Important Notes for this Internship Program
- Letter of Recommendation (LOR) is not required for IIT Kanpur participants; however, names of two potential referees (IITK faculty) must be provided in the application form.
- IIT Kanpur students enrolled in Academic Summer Courses are generally not permitted to participate in SARIP.
- Students with CPI ≥ 8.5 may be allowed to undertake SARIP along with a summer course, subject to mentor consent.
- Violation of the above rules may result in rejection of the application.
