Students Partnership Summit by Jan-end, says CM Chandrababu Naidu

On December 24, 2025, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced significant educational initiatives aimed at equipping the youth of Andhra Pradesh with next-generation skills. This announcement was made during a meeting with representatives from IIT Madras at the State Secretariat in Vijayawada.

Introduction of Quantum Technology Courses

The Chief Minister highlighted the introduction of Quantum Technology courses in the state, emphasizing the importance of preparing students for emerging opportunities in both Quantum and Artificial Intelligence (AI) sectors. He stated, “Every student in Andhra Pradesh should have an understanding of Quantum Technology.”

Focus on Early Education

Naidu stressed the necessity of creating awareness about Quantum Technology from the school level. He proposed that students in Classes 7, 8, and 9 should be introduced to Quantum concepts. This initiative aims to ensure that students from all backgrounds, including those in government schools, gain exposure to these advanced technologies.

Meeting with IIT Madras Representatives

During the meeting, representatives from IIT Madras presented their proposals to enhance AI awareness among students through digital platforms available in multiple languages, including Telugu, English, and Hindi. They outlined an action plan to be implemented in four phases over two years, starting in 2026. This structured orientation aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of AI.

Phased Implementation of Computer Labs

In line with the introduction of Quantum Technology courses, the Chief Minister directed that computer labs should be established in schools in a phased manner. He emphasized the need for consultations with the Central Government to facilitate this initiative effectively.

Students Partnership Summit

As part of the efforts to foster innovation among students, Naidu announced the organization of a Students Partnership Summit by the end of January 2026. This summit will provide a platform for students to showcase their innovations and creativity. The Chief Minister believes that such initiatives will encourage students to actively engage in technological advancements.

Utilization of NPTEL Platform

Naidu also highlighted the importance of leveraging the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) platform initiated by the Central Government. He urged officials to take steps to fully utilize this platform to upgrade skills in Quantum Technology.

Skill Training for Technology Students

In addition to the introduction of courses, the Chief Minister directed officials to provide Quantum skill training to over 50,000 technology students. He emphasized the need for a well-designed curriculum for Quantum Technology skill development to be completed by the end of January 2026.

Collaboration with Educational Institutions

Senior officials from the Education Department, along with representatives from IIT Madras, IIT Tirupati, and IBM, participated in the discussions. This collaboration aims to ensure that the educational initiatives are comprehensive and effective in preparing students for future challenges.
