The IIT Madras Incubation Cell is recognized as a deep-tech startup hub and serves as an umbrella organization that supports innovation at IIT Madras. Currently, it hosts a portfolio of over 500 deep-tech startups across various sectors, including:

Innovation Challenge: Pitch to Win

As part of the partnership, UST and IIT Madras Incubation Cell, in collaboration with Pfizer as a knowledge partner and AWS as a technology partner, recently conducted the “Pitch to Win: Pharma 4.0 Edition” innovation challenge. This initiative received an impressive response, with over 90 startup applications from 32 cities, showcasing the growing momentum in healthcare and life sciences entrepreneurship.

The top ten finalists of the challenge participated in a month-long mentorship program offered by UST. They presented their innovative solutions before a jury at the final event held at IIT Madras Incubation Cell. The results were as follows:

  • Winner: Nucleo-Vir Therapeutics
  • First Runner-Up: ChemBioSens
  • Second Runner-Up: LN Infosphere Tech Transformers

The winners received cash awards of ₹1,25,000, ₹75,000, and ₹50,000, respectively. Additionally, UST will provide combined conditional funding support of up to ₹45 lakh, along with go-to-market and additional support for the winning startups.
