This fund aims to provide the institute with the freedom to make independent investments in research and infrastructure. Currently, the endowment has received pledges amounting to Rs 477 crore, with Rs 338 crore already contributed. A significant pledge of Rs 70 crore was made by the IIT Delhi Class of 2000 during its Silver Jubilee Reunion in December 2025.
