JAMMU, April 22, 2026 – KC Public School (KCPS), Jammu has made headlines by securing the first position in the innovation category at the 10th Edition of Techradiance – National Coding and Robotics Championship 2025-26. This prestigious event was recently hosted by the Entrepreneurship Cell of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, attracting participation from over 70 schools across India.

Outstanding Achievement by Team Abyss Watch

Representing KCPS, Team Abyss Watch showcased an impressive submarine prototype designed to detect cracks in dams. The project was lauded by the jury for its cost-effectiveness, practicality, and focus on enhancing infrastructure safety. This innovative solution not only highlights the technical prowess of the students but also addresses critical safety concerns in civil engineering.

Recognition and Rewards

As a result of their exceptional performance, Team Abyss Watch was awarded a cash prize of Rs 20,000 along with national recognition. The team was led by student leader Aarav Singh and included talented members such as Akshat Mengi and Gaurang Dhar, who were responsible for 3D modeling, and Ashvi Kaul, who handled graphic design. Their hard work and dedication were supported by mentors from the school’s Robotics and IT Department, including Surbhi Mahajan, Kapil Kashyap, and Shelza Kapoor.

KCPS sent a total of three teams to the championship, with two teams making it to the finals. Team Aeternum, consisting of Nitya Sharma and Aasmi Mahajan, competed in the ‘Line Following Robot’ category, while Akshaj Gupta and Arshveer Singh participated in the ‘Mini Humanoid Robot’ category. Their participation further exemplifies the school’s commitment to fostering innovation and technical skills among students.
