This year’s rankings also highlight the impressive advancements made by universities in Southeast Asia, particularly Malaysia. The country has seen a significant rise, with Universiti Teknologi Petronas climbing eight places to joint 35th, marking its entry into the top 40 for the first time. A total of six Malaysian universities are now in the top 100, doubling last year’s figures.
