Position Details

Remuneration & Tenure

  • Position: Research Associate – III (01 Post)
  • Consolidated Fellowship: ₹67,000/- per month + 27% HRA
  • Duration: Initially up to December 17, 2026 (or project completion)

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Research Associate will include:

  • Estimating movement intention and motion trajectory using EEG/EMG signals for exosuit control.
  • Acquiring and analyzing EEG/EMG data to translate neural signals into robotic movement.
  • Prototyping Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) systems.
  • Developing machine learning models for real-time exoskeleton control and trajectory estimation.

Education & Experience Requirements

IIT Delhi is seeking a highly skilled researcher with a background in neural prosthetics or biomedical signal processing. The qualifications include:

  • Education: PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or related fields. Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis are also eligible.
  • Alternate Qualifications: M.Tech/ME/M.Sc (Engg) with at least 3 years of experience in EEG signal analysis and a strong publication record in SCI journals.
  • Technical Mastery: High proficiency in Matlab and Python is mandatory.
  • Software Tools: Working knowledge of Opensim, EEGLab, Brainstorm, or Fieldtrip is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Hands-on experience with BCI, neural prosthetics, or BMI interfaces.
